Our Jaguar XKR 4.2 Cabriolet, with 94,000 KM on the clock, was put into circulation on November 9, 2004 in Italy before being imported to France in 2006. Its current owner purchased it on June 18, 2021.
This model is distinguished by its British Racing Green color, applied from its first year of introduction (original Platinum Grey color), and its Connolly black leather interior. The set is in very good overall condition, offering a perfect balance between sportiness and British elegance.
Under the hood, this convertible houses a 4.2L supercharged V8 developing 395 horsepower, coupled to an automatic gearbox. The maintenance has always been carried out by a recognized Jaguar specialist, the Graham Jones Garage in Toulouse. The history is clear, with all the invoices available, attesting to rigorous monitoring. The last revision was carried out on 8 March 2024. The consumables are in good condition, and no costs are to be expected. The technical control is empty.
Here are the options and equipment available to this copy:
The Jaguar XKR is the high-performance version of the XK range, a two-door grand tourer produced from 1996 to 2014. The first generation, introduced in 1996 under the name XK8, replaced the XJS. It marked a turning point by inaugurating the Jaguar AJ-V8 engine, a 4.0-liter 32-valve V8. In 1998, the XKR was added to the range, equipped with a supercharged V8 engine developing 370 horsepower, thanks to an Eaton compressor producing a pressure of 11.9 psi.
Visually, the XKR is distinguished by a mesh radiator grill, scoops on the hood to improve cooling, and a rear spoiler. Options included wheels up to 20 inches and an adaptive cruise control system. In 2002, a mechanical update increased the displacement of the engines to 4.2 liters, increasing power. A six-speed ZF automatic transmission replaced the earlier five-speed versions.
In 2006, the second generation, completely redesigned, introduced a lighter aluminum chassis. An even more powerful XKR-S version followed. With its blend of luxury and performance, the XKR embodied Jaguar's evolution towards more modern vehicles, while maintaining its grand touring heritage.
