Our Mazda MX-5 Eunos Edition was delivered new in France and put into circulation in May 2020. It has only known one owner since leaving the factory.
This example is in new condition, consistent with its low mileage of 19,000 kilometers. In a Jet Black color, combined with 16” Rays forged black wheels, a black soft top and a perforated Burgundy Nappa leather interior, this Mazda MX-5 is free of defects.
Mechanically, its operation is perfect. Its 1.5-liter 4-cylinder in-line engine developing 132 horsepower, combined with the 6-speed manual gearbox, is as powerful as at the origin. In 1989, Mazda launched a new brand called “Eunos” reserved for the Japanese market. The model, known under the name Miata in the United States, gives a serious facelift to British roadsters that seem to have remained stuck in the 1960s. The round line, a complete cabin, a very reliable engine and the famous retractable headlights will allow it to become a commercial success.
Disappeared in 1996, the Eunos brand was the reference for high-end Mazda products on Japanese soil. In 1992, a limited series of the MX-5 roadster was even launched, called “S Limited” and characterized by a black body color, red leather and exclusive rims.
Resurrected in 2020, the brand created an edition limited to only 110 copies for the French market, the MX-5 “Eunos Edition” has a configuration very similar to its predecessor with a Jet Black body color, “Burgundy” Nappa leather upholstery, and exclusive Rays rims. This return to the “Eunos” brand is explained by Mazda's desire to move upmarket, the Mazda MX-5 being a foretaste of the future of the Japanese brand.
