Our Porsche 911 2.7 Targa, with only 43,000 KM on the clock, was put into circulation on March 11, 1977 in France. Its current owner purchased it in 2021.
This example is distinguished by its rare original Talbot Yellow color, perfectly restored, combined with a black faux leather and green velvet interior. A complete restoration having been carried out on this example, the condition of its body and interior is as good as new, without the slightest defect. The mechanics have also been completely refurbished.
Mechanically, this 911 2.7 Targa retains its original engine and box. The car has benefited from numerous expenses over the last three years, with more than €20,000 invested: complete painting, engine tuning, ignition, braking and geometry were carried out by recognized Porsche specialists (DMA, Marc Borie). The last revision took place on October 17, 2023.
Some equipment has been added, including a Scart pre-silencer and silencer, a Momo Prototipo Heritage steering wheel (original steering wheel supplied) and a Blaupunkt neo-retro REF-Bremen SQR46 car radio. The consumables are new and no costs are to be expected. Note the presence of options such as cruise control, an electric antenna, tinted windows (green), a defrosting rear window, a Sonauto monogram, 15” ATS wheels, an original jack and a spare tire.
The Porsche 911 2.7 Targa, introduced in the 1970s, is an iconic version of the famous 911. It takes its name from the Targa Florio, a car race in Sicily where Porsche had numerous victories. Launched in 1967, the Targa is distinguished by its stainless steel roll bar and removable roof, an innovative solution to meet American regulations on convertibles.
The 911 2.7 Targa is equipped with a 2.7-liter flat-six engine, developing 150 horsepower in its first version. The S version has 175 horsepower, and will maintain this power until 1977, when the 2.7 will be replaced by the 3.0 version. For its part, the 2.7 Targa benefited from an increase in power from 1976, placing it at only 10 horsepower than the S. This engine uses Bosch K-Jetronic mechanical injection, which improves efficiency and performance. The 2.7 Targa has also adopted the new impact-absorbing bumpers, mandatory to meet the safety standards of the 70s.
