The Porsche 911 Type 991.2 Carrera GTS, launched in 2017, is between the Carrera S and the GT3 in the 911 range. Derived from the seventh generation of 911, introduced in 2011 to replace the 997, it is based on a completely new platform, only the third since the creation of the model in 1963.

The GTS model adopts a 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat six-cylinder engine developing 450 horsepower. Combined with a seven-speed manual gearbox or the PDK transmission, it allows a 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds with the automatic transmission and a top speed of 312 km/h in the manual version.

Equipped with the Sport Chrono Package, the Porsche Torque Vectoring system and a suspension lowered by 10 mm, the Carrera GTS improves dynamic performance while remaining usable on a daily basis. Aesthetically, it is distinguished by 20-inch monoblock wheels, Sport Design mirrors and black elements on the body.

In 2016, Porsche produced a limited series, the Rennsport Reunion Edition, equipped with a 436-horsepower naturally aspirated engine and reserved for 25 copies. The 991.2 Carrera GTS thus marks a balance between sportiness and versatility within the 911 line.
