The association of a pretty castle and an Aston Martin seems natural as this brand is imbued with an undeniable aristocratic connotation. From its origins dating back to 1913, through the long period under the inspired aegis of Sir David Brown to the difficult 70s and 80s and repeated bankruptcies, Aston Martin has limited itself to the marketing in very small series of exclusive high quality cars that their astronomical price reserved only for very wealthy enthusiasts.
For several years, Alfa Romeo has returned to its rich sporting past and intends to make it known. As a preamble to a return to F1, which will count for six consecutive seasons in the premier class from 2018 to 2023, Alfa Romeo launched exclusive models with a strong character from 2007 using names evocative of its history. The magnificent 8C thus precedes the 4C, which will be followed by the Giulia Quadrifoglio supported by a wacky version, the GTAm. More recently, the Italian firm created a surprise by entering an area where perhaps we did not expect it. Like the Phoenix rising from the ashes, the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale returns to us in 2023 in the form of a supercar.
The mark left by Porsche in automotive history is of a level that few manufacturers can rely on. A symbol of sportiness, robustness, innovation, passion and dreams, Porsche has lived through the decades, giving birth to some of the most desirable cars ever designed.
Do you know sports cars that have been produced continuously over several decades, respecting the initial concept, successive generations and countless improvements? In this spirit, you will certainly mention the Porsche 911, released in 1963, or the Ford Mustang (1964) and Chevrolet Camaro (1966), but they all give back at least ten years to the reign of the oldest American sports car.
