Our Aston Martin V8 Vantage, with 65,000 KM on the clock, was put into circulation in 2006 in Germany and imported into France in 2009. Its current owner took possession of it in 2021.
This model, in a metallic Black Onyx Black color with a Cartier Black and Red bitone interior, is distinguished by its exceptional condition. The body is flawless, and the interior is in very good condition. There will be a slight deformation of the center console, with no impact on the overall presentation.
Under the hood, this V8 Vantage is equipped with a 4.3L naturally aspirated V8 engine delivering 385 horsepower, combined with a mechanical gearbox. This combination, combined with a recently changed reinforced clutch, ensures a perfect, trouble-free driving experience. The maintenance of this Aston Martin was meticulously monitored in specialized Aston Martin centers. The last revision was carried out in April 2024. The complete maintenance book is available, and all consumables are in very good condition.
Here are the equipment and options available to this copy:
The 380 hp Aston Martin V8 Vantage arrived as the brand’s compact, driver-focused sports car, debuting in 2005 for the 2006 model year. Built at Gaydon on Aston’s bonded aluminium VH platform with a front mid-mounted 4.3-litre V8 and a rear transaxle, it gave the marque a true rival to the Porsche 911 (997) and, soon after, the Audi R8. Its hand-built V8, assembled at Aston Martin’s facility in Cologne, produced 380 bhp and 410 Nm, delivering an honest 5.0 sec dash to 62 mph and a 174–175 mph top speed, accompanied by a bellowing exhaust with a bypass valve that enthusiasts learned to love.
From the outset, critics praised the steering feel, balance and theatre. The V8 Vantage looked every inch the baby Aston with taut proportions, swan-wing doors and a hatchback tail that made it surprisingly usable. Not everything was perfect: period reviews often grumbled about the Volvo-sourced pop-up sat-nav and, later, the jerky nature of the single-clutch Sportshift automated manual. But the six-speed Graziano manual, the naturally aspirated throttle response and that soundtrack made a persuasive case to purists.
Evolution came quickly. The Roadster joined in 2007, and Aston celebrated Nürburgring exploits with the N400 special. For 2008, the core car moved to 4.7 litres and 420 bhp, with chassis and interior tweaks that sharpened the breed. The harder-edged V8 Vantage S (2011) lifted output to 430 bhp and introduced a seven-speed Sportshift II gearbox, while a 2012 refresh gave the standard car quicker steering, bigger brakes and S-inspired aero. The N420/N430 specials and, finally, the 2017 AMR sent the first-generation Vantage out with a flourish before the all-new model arrived in 2018.
Beyond the road cars, the Vantage proved a formidable racer. The factory’s N24 (based on the 4.3) evolved into a hugely successful GT4 customer programme, winning in VLN, British GT and endurance events worldwide—a brand-building feeder that kept Aston visible on grids across the globe.
Pop culture helped, too. While the 2006 V8 Vantage wasn’t a Bond car, its classic namesake starred in The Living Daylights and resurfaced in No Time To Die, keeping the Vantage name firmly in the public imagination. The 380 hp original also found its way into countless video games—Gran Turismo, Forza and Need for Speed among them—seeding a generation of enthusiasts. In retrospect, the 4.3-litre V8 Vantage didn’t win every comparison test on numbers, but it nailed the intangibles: soul, sound and style. It broadened Aston Martin’s customer base, stabilised the company during a crucial era, and set the tone for every Vantage that followed.
