Our Audi Quattro WR, put on the road on April 30, 1982 in Italy, now has a total of 83,600 km. Imported to France, it changed owners in September 2023. This example has a rich and transparent history, with very good follow-up from antique vehicle specialists.

Presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1980, the Audi Quattro marked a decisive turning point in the history of sports cars. The first mass-produced coupe to adopt permanent all-wheel drive, it was the direct result of the “Iltis” military project and Audi's rally ambitions. This iconic model also introduces the use of turbocharging in the Audi range, with a 2.1-liter 5-cylinder in-line engine developing 200 hp in its production version (type WR), launched in 1981.
The Quattro WR was distinguished by its advanced technology for the time: quattro transmission with locking center differential, 5-speed manual transmission, independent suspensions, and top-level performance (0 to 100 km/h in less than 7 seconds). The car is also recognizable by its wide fenders, its 15-inch Ronal alloy wheels, and its rectangular headlights on the first versions.
The impact of the Quattro in competition is immediate. Competing in the World Rally Championship in 1981, it outperformed the competition and ushered in the era of all-wheel drive in motorsport. It won two constructors' titles (1982 and 1984) and became a Group B legend with its subsequent evolutions (A1, A2, Sport Quattro).
Produced until 1991 in only 11,452 copies, the Audi Quattro WR is now a sought-after model, both for its historical importance and for its road qualities. A true icon of the 1980s, it symbolizes Audi's technological vanguard and the advent of all-wheel drive in the sports car segment.
