This example is finished in the iconic Nogaro Blue, paired with a black and blue leather and Alcantara interior. The bodywork is in concours condition, protected by PPF on the front end and headlights, while the entire vehicle benefits from a ceramic coating. The interior is in perfect condition, and all onboard instrumentation functions flawlessly.
Under the bonnet, the twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre TFSI V8 produces 605 hp and is paired with an automatic gearbox and Audi's quattro all-wheel-drive system. Audi RS6 Avant (C7) Performance, 605 hp arrived in late 2015 for the 2016 model year as the most potent evolution of the C7 RS6. Building on the facelifted A6 platform and the already ferocious 560 hp RS6, the Performance pack cranked the 4.0 TFSI biturbo V8 to 605 PS (597 bhp) and introduced an overboost function lifting torque from 700 Nm to 750 Nm in short bursts. Audi’s aim was clear: keep the fast-wagon crown against the Mercedes-AMG E 63 and BMW M5 while retaining everyday usability.
Where its C5 and C6 predecessors relied on exotic engines (twin-turbo V8, then Lamborghini-derived V10), the C7 doubled down on modern efficiency and breadth of ability. Cylinder-on-Demand let the V8 run on four cylinders at cruise, the 8-speed Tiptronic was recalibrated for sharper shifts, and the quattro system (40:60 default split with optional rear sport differential) delivered immense cross-country pace in all weather. Officially it did 0–100 km/h in 3.7 s and, with the Dynamic package plus, would run to 305 km/h—numbers that many magazines bettered in independent testing.
The Performance also brought 21-inch wheels as standard, RS adaptive air suspension (with the option of the firmer steel-sprung Dynamic Ride Control), and available 420 mm carbon-ceramic front brakes. Subtle but telling tweaks—matte titanium exterior accents, honeycomb-stitched RS seats, and the cult-favourite Nardo Grey—telegraphed its intent without shouting. Matrix LED headlights and a full suite of driver aids reflected the car’s dual personality: supercar pace, family-car practicality.
Competition was fierce. The outgoing BMW M5 (F10) and the then-new E 63 S (W213) traded blows on power, but few matched the Audi’s point-to-point confidence, traction and wagon versatility; later, Porsche’s Panamera Sport Turismo joined the fray. Reviewers from Autocar and Evo praised its brutality and real-world speed while often criticising steering feel and sheer mass. In markets like the United States it remained forbidden fruit, which only burnished its legend among enthusiasts.
Pop culture gave it a boost, too. Ski star and YouTuber Jon Olsson’s wild, camo-liveried, ABT-tuned RS6 became an internet sensation—proof of the C7’s tuning headroom and cultural pull. Footballers and high-profile athletes across Europe adopted the RS6 as the discreet, do-it-all daily. As the C7 bowed out and the C8 loomed, the RS6 Performance had already cemented the Avant as Audi Sport’s defining icon: a stealthy, thundering estate that could demolish an alpine pass on Sunday and the school run on Monday.
