Notre BMW XM G09, mise en circulation le 15 septembre 2023, totalise aujourd’hui 30 000 km. D’origine française, elle est actuellement immatriculée en France et n’a connu aucun changement de propriétaire depuis sa sortie de concession.
Cet exemplaire se présente dans une élégante teinte noire, associée à un intérieur en cuir beige. La carrosserie est en très bon état général, sans défaut particulier. L’habitacle est également très bien conservé et l’instrumentation de bord fonctionne parfaitement.
Sous le capot, le V8 hybride rechargeable développe 550 ch et est associé à une boîte automatique ainsi qu’à la transmission intégrale. Cette motorisation offre un compromis particulièrement réussi entre performances et polyvalence, tout en permettant à la BMW XM d’affirmer son positionnement de SUV sportif hautes performances.

BMW XM (G09) 653 PS – model story
When BMW M decided to build its first standalone model since the legendary M1, it didn’t choose a low-slung supercar but a plug‑in hybrid super‑SUV. Previewed by the Concept XM at Art Basel Miami Beach in late 2021 and unveiled in production form in 2022, the XM went into production for 2023 at BMW’s Spartanburg plant in South Carolina. It landed as the first electrified BMW M car and the brand’s boldest design statement of the decade, complete with illuminated kidney grilles, stacked hexagonal exhausts and exaggerated surfacing.
Underneath the dramatic skin, the XM introduced the new S68 4.4‑litre twin‑turbo V8 paired with an integrated e‑motor. In the headline “653 PS” specification, total system output sits at 480 kW (653 PS/644 hp) and 800 Nm. The lithium‑ion battery enables meaningful EV running for an M car, reflecting the reality that many buyers want silent urban cruising without sacrificing cross‑continent pace. BMW positioned the XM above the X5 M, targeting a space occupied by the Lamborghini Urus, Aston Martin DBX, Range Rover Sport SV and the Porsche Cayenne Turbo E‑Hybrid.
Reception was split on day one. Traditionalists bemoaned the weight and confrontational styling, while others praised the ride sophistication, real‑world pace and the ability to commute on electricity alone. Period reviews often noted that the chassis tech—active anti‑roll, rear‑steer and an electronically controlled M Sport differential—delivered agility that belied its size. In typical M fashion, the powertrain calibration and brake feel drew compliments even from sceptics.
BMW didn’t stop at one flavour. The even hotter XM Label Red followed, lifting output dramatically and cementing the XM’s role as a halo for electrified M performance. In selected markets BMW also added the XM 50e to broaden appeal. High‑profile moments kept the spotlight on the model: the production XM’s world tour included major auto shows and dynamic appearances at events like Goodwood, while the couture‑inspired one‑off XM Mystique Allure—created with Naomi Campbell—debuted on the French Riviera in 2023, underlining the XM’s lifestyle brief as much as its engineering one.
Love it or loathe it, the XM marked a turning point for BMW M. It signalled how the brand plans to blend combustion drama with electric torque on the road to full electrification, all while expanding M’s footprint in the most global, profitable segment of the market. If the M1 defined M’s raw origins, the XM defines its complex, tech‑heavy present.
