Our Mercedes 280 C, put into circulation during the year 1973, now shows 38,000 km. Imported from the United States, it has been registered in France for several years and changed ownership on March 19, 2019. This copy was completely restored before its arrival in France.

Presented in the Dark Olive exterior color (code 291) combined with Bamboo MB Tex upholstery (code 167), this 280 C offers a particularly elegant and sought-after configuration. The body is in very good condition, with no significant aesthetic defect, and the cabin is in nearly new condition, testifying to the care taken during the restoration. All the on-board instrumentation is working perfectly.

Powered by its 160-horsepower six-cylinder engine, combined with an automatic gearbox, this Mercedes perfectly embodies the charm of the W114 Coupes: smooth driving, timeless style and mechanical robustness. The mechanics work flawlessly and require no intervention.

The maintenance was carried out at Mercedes, then by specialists in old cars.
The vehicle has a stamped notebook, as well as the purchase invoice and numerous vintage invoices recounting its history.

No interviews are documented between 2022 and 2025, but previous follow-up has been complete since 1973. The consumables are in good overall condition.

Regarding the work carried out, the car was completely painted in its original color in order to restore all its brilliance, in line with its overall restoration. No costs are to be expected; a complete check-up will be carried out in the workshop before the sale.

Introduced in the early 1970s, the 1973 Mercedes-Benz 280 C belongs to the W114 coupe family, models that sought to reconcile discreet elegance and robust mechanics. Under its hood, we find the 160-horsepower 2.8 six-cylinder, an engine designed to offer great flexibility of use, with this particular way of stretching the revs without ever forcing the line. This block is often remembered for its reliability and for its very linear, almost educational nature in the way it delivers its power.

This version adopts the Dark Olive color, a typical color of the time, more common on sedans than on Coupes, which gives this example a slightly different presence on the street. The line remains true to Paul Bracq's signature, with a long roof, thin pillars and a high waistband that highlights the glass surfaces.
