Our Porsche 911 Type 964 Carrera 4, delivered new in France on April 3, 1991, now shows 220,000 km. It changed ownership on May 19, 2021.
This 964 comes in its original Uni-Schwarz Black color (code A1 741) combined with a black leather interior. It has been completely repainted in its original color, which gives it a homogeneous exterior presentation without notable defects. The interior has been very well preserved, in excellent condition, with a faithful presentation to the original. All the on-board instrumentation is working perfectly.

The Porsche 911 Type 964 marks an important transition in the history of the model. Produced between 1989 and 1994, it succeeded the 911 “G” by introducing numerous technical developments, while maintaining the iconic silhouette of the rear-engine coupe. The Carrera 4, first introduced in 1989, is the very first 911 to be equipped with all-wheel drive as standard, resulting in part from the development of the 959.
The engine remains an air-cooled flat-six, increased to 3.6 liters. It develops 250 horsepower, with a Bosch Motronic electronic injection power supply. The five-speed G64 gearbox is specific to the all-wheel version, as is an electronically controlled torque distribution, preferring the rear but capable of transferring torque forward depending on grip.
The chassis is evolving in depth: power steering, ABS brakes as standard, suspensions completely redesigned with threaded combinations at the rear to replace the torsion bars. The behavior gains in stability, especially on wet roads.
The 964 maintains the spirit of the classic 911, but with vastly improved comfort and safety. It also inaugurates the foundations of technical modernization that Porsche will continue with the following generations.
