Presented in 1989, the Porsche 911 Type 964 Carrera 4 Cabriolet introduced a new era for the 911. The first to adopt all-wheel drive in the Carrera range, it is based on a novel technical architecture, inherited from the 959. The system automatically distributes torque between the axles, offering stability that was unprecedented at the time, especially on wet roads.

Under the rear hood, we find the 3.6-liter flat-six developing 250 horsepower. Completely redesigned, it adopts dual ignition and a more precise injection system, while maintaining the typical sound character of air-cooled 911s. Combined with a five-speed manual gearbox or the Tiptronic transmission, it maintains a direct link between the engine and the driver.
