Our Porsche Cayman S 987.2, with 125,500 KM on the clock, was put into circulation on October 22, 2009 in France. Its current owner purchased it in 2015.
This copy comes in a Black color, combined with a black leather and fabric interior. Its condition is remarkable, with a body and a cabin in excellent condition. The front cover and the front bumper have been replaced by Porsche Bordeaux.
This Cayman S is equipped with the naturally aspirated 3.4L Flat-6 developing 320 horsepower, coupled to an automatic gearbox. Its operation is flawless. The maintenance was carried out exclusively at the Porsche Bordeaux Center, with meticulous follow-up and a complete log book. The last revision was completed in January 2025, and all documents, invoices, and histories are available. The consumables are in very good condition and no costs are to be expected.
Here are the options and equipment available to this copy:
The Porsche Cayman S 987.2, launched in 2009, represents the evolution of the coupe derived from the Boxster. Based on the 987 platform, it benefits from technical and aesthetic updates compared to the previous generation. Its 3.4-liter flat six-cylinder engine develops 321 horsepower thanks to direct fuel injection, a novelty for the model.
Here, Porsche is abandoning the intermediate tree, an element considered to be problematic on previous versions. The six-speed manual transmission is standard, while the PDK dual-clutch transmission, replacing the Tiptronic S, is available as an option. The limited-slip differential is also becoming a factory option.
Cosmetic changes include redesigned front and rear lights, expanded air intakes, and integrated daytime running lights. Inside, the new Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system simplifies the user interface with a touchscreen.
The Cayman S 987.2 reaches 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds with the PDK gearbox and its top speed is 277 km/h. In 2011, Porsche introduced the Cayman R, a lighter and sharpened version of the model, further strengthening its positioning as an alternative to rear-engined 911s.
