It is a safe bet that James Bond would not have exuded such charisma without his Aston Martin DB5. For that, he can thank David Brown! An industrialist who made a fortune, among other things, in the construction of agricultural tractors, such as a certain Ferruccio Lamborghini later, David Brown acquired Aston Martin in 1947. All the Astons created under his management bear his initials “DB” and are endowed with this incomparable chic and sporty distinction, from the DB1 to the DBS. Ennobled in 1968, Sir David Brown was forced in 1972 to sell the financially exhausted Aston Martin.
