Following the Second World War, the Spitfire’s reputation was firmly established. Having played a major role in the victory during the Battle of Britain in 1940, the aircraft continues to fascinate. Its engine is a big part of the reason why, inspiring engineer Paul Jameson with a bold idea: to install the Rolls-Royce Merlin V12… in a car!  

After an initial unsuccessful attempt, the 27-liter Spitfire V12, in a detuned version (without supercharging), was fitted under the hood of a makeshift, completely unofficial Rolls-Royce Coupe. The result is striking, measuring over 6 meters in length and producing 950 horsepower.
