Our Porsche Cayenne III E-Hybrid Coupé, first registered on 8 March 2022, now shows 39,800 km. Originally from Germany, it is currently registered in France and was imported in 2023.
This example is presented in an elegant Chalk Grey finish (M9A), paired with a black leather interior. The bodywork is in very good overall condition, with no particular defects. The cabin has also been very well preserved, and all onboard instrumentation functions perfectly.
Under the bonnet, the plug-in hybrid powertrain develops 462 hp and is paired with an automatic gearbox. This configuration offers an excellent balance between performance, comfort and versatility, while retaining the sporty character of the Cayenne Coupé.
The vehicle has been serviced at Porsche Centre Levallois. It comes with its service book and invoices.

The third-generation Porsche Cayenne E‑Hybrid (internal code PO536) arrived in 2018 with a clear brief: merge the 918 Spyder’s hybrid know‑how with the everyday performance SUV that saved Porsche’s fortunes back in 2002. Instead of chasing headline electric range, Zuffenhausen prioritised response and repeatable performance. The recipe was a 3.0‑litre single‑turbo V6 working with a 100 kW e‑motor in an 8‑speed Tiptronic S hybrid module. System output landed at 462 PS (≈463 hp) and 700 Nm, enough to humble many “pure petrol” rivals while sneaking under tightening CO2 rules in Europe and China.
Under the skin sat the VW Group’s MLB Evo platform with Porsche’s own chassis magic: PASM adaptive damping, optional triple‑chamber air suspension, 48‑V PDCC active anti‑roll, rear‑axle steering and torque vectoring. In 2019 the sleeker Cayenne Coupé joined the range, and the bonkers Turbo S E‑Hybrid (680 PS) arrived as the tech halo. For the core E‑Hybrid, the biggest upgrade came for MY2020: battery capacity jumped from 14.1 to 17.9 kWh, the onboard AC charger moved up to 7.2 kW in many markets, control software was re‑mapped for smoother transitions and stronger regeneration, and real‑world EV running became genuinely useful for short commutes. Minor running changes followed (connectivity, options packs, the stylish Platinum Edition) before the major 2023 facelift ushered in the next‑gen hybrids and effectively closed the chapter on the 463‑hp variant.
Competition was fierce and evolving. Early on, the Cayenne E‑Hybrid squared up to Volvo’s XC90 T8, Range Rover P400e and Mercedes’ GLE plug‑ins; by 2020, BMW’s X5 xDrive45e (with a bigger battery and longer EV range) set a new benchmark. Porsche countered not with the longest range, but with the sharpest calibration: instant throttle pick‑up, disciplined body control and braking that—post‑2020 update—felt far more natural at the regen/friction hand‑off. Period tests from Autocar, Car and Driver, and the German press praised the pace and polish; typical gripes were the modest early EV range, a smaller boot than non‑hybrids and the sheer mass under heavy trail‑braking.
Brand impact? Huge. In several European markets the E‑Hybrid accounted for a significant share of Cayenne sales, helping Porsche meet fleet CO2 targets while keeping enthusiasts on‑side. The neon “Acid Green” highlights on badges and brake calipers became a quiet badge of honour before Porsche later toned the hue towards lime. A fun curiosity: geofencing in the PCM could automatically prioritise E‑Power in low‑emission zones—a neat nod to city‑friendly performance. And yes, it’ll tow a proper 3.5‑tonne braked load, even slipping around campsites on electrons alone.
By the time the facelifted 2023/24 Cayenne hybrids arrived with even bigger batteries and more power, the original 463‑hp E‑Hybrid had already done its job: it normalised electrification for Porsche’s best‑seller without diluting the driving experience—a pivotal stepping stone between the Panamera hybrids and the all‑electric Taycan revolution.
