Our 2000 Alfa Romeo Spider, put into circulation on April 15, 1981, now has a total of 100,000 km. Delivered new in Switzerland, it changed owner in September 2024 and is now registered in France.

Presented in an elegant black hue, combined with a custom-made yellow leather interior, this Spider offers a unique configuration and an inimitable charm. The body is in competition condition, with no notable imperfection. The original condom remains in very good condition and is perfectly waterproof. The cabin, made by a Swiss saddler, is of exceptional quality. All the instrumentation is working perfectly.

Under the hood, the 128-horsepower 2.0-liter 4-cylinder received a complete overhaul in 2020, carried out by a Swiss specialist in antique mechanics. Since then, several regular interviews have been carried out, guaranteeing exemplary reliability. The mechanics are in perfect condition and no costs are to be expected.

No structural changes have been made to this vehicle. The first owner, a saddler by trade, had simply made the interior tailor-made with very high quality handcrafted leather.

The following items have been replaced or restored:
• Complete painting in the early 1990s
• Complete engine repair in 2020
• Revision and adjustment of carburettors with new gaskets

No costs are to be expected.

This Alfa Romeo Spider 2000 is accompanied by its maintenance book, a large file of invoices since 1989, the administrative situation certificate, the technical inspection, the technical review, a restoration photo album and two keys.

This Spider was kept for several years in a Swiss concierge and belonged only to careful owners. It is an exceptional example, with a unique configuration and a clear history, combining charm, authenticity and a high level of craftsmanship.

The Alfa Romeo Spider 2000 appeared in 1971 as the third evolution of the famous convertible born under the pen of Pininfarina at the end of the 1960s. It takes up the base of the Duetto, while inaugurating a more refined style: refined bumpers, redesigned radiator grill and shortened stern mark the aesthetic transition of the 70s.

Under its hood, we find the 1,962 cm³ twin-shaft four-cylinder engine, an aluminum block powered by two Weber carburettors, delivering 132 horsepower. Combined with a five-speed manual gearbox, it maintains the sound characteristic of Alfa engines of the time, which was both raucous and nervous.

The cabin, simple and functional, focuses on the essentials. The round dials, the wooden steering wheel and the low seats recall the spirit of small Italian roadsters: light, direct, mechanical above all.

Produced until 1982 before the arrival of the “Aerodinamica” version, the Spider 2000 has survived the decades without losing its authenticity. It remains the witness of a period when Alfa Romeo combined elegance and mechanical rigor, in a body designed for the road and the pleasure of a free engine.
