This Range Rover Classic Vogue 3.5, delivered new in France on February 14, 1986, today totals 234,150 KM. It changed owners in October 2023 and has recently undergone a complete restoration, both mechanical and aesthetic.
Presented in a Gray color combined with a beige velvet interior, this copy shows a very satisfactory overall condition. The body has a few small cosmetic defects, and the cabin is in good overall condition. The on-board instrumentation works properly, although the electric windows are slightly slow in use.
Equipped with the original 3.5L V8, this Range Rover develops 163 horsepower, combined with an automatic gearbox. The mechanics are healthy and perfectly functional. No costs are to be expected, especially as the vehicle underwent a major restoration in July 2022 at Stand Auto 17, including the exhaust line and numerous upgrades.

The Range Rover Classic, launched in 1970 by Rover (then Land Rover), marked the beginning of a series of 4x4 vehicles designed to combine off-road capabilities and road use. Originally designed as a compromise between the comfort of a hatchback and the robustness of the Land Rover Series, it was first produced in a two-door version until 1981, before being available in a four-door version.
Its development began in the 1960s under the direction of Charles Spencer King, with the aim of creating a vehicle that could perform both on and off the road. The prototype, nicknamed “100-inch Station Wagon”, was inspired by the Ford Bronco and adopted coil-spring suspension, a first for an all-terrain vehicle. The engine chosen is an original Buick aluminum V8, modified for the crossing.
The model has a permanent four-speed all-wheel drive with a short range, hydraulic disc braking on all four wheels, and reaches 160 km/h. In 1987, the Range Rover was presented in the United States, 17 years after its release, where it found a new audience.
In 1994, when the second generation was launched, it officially took the name Range Rover Classic. Its design would have a lasting influence on Land Rover models until the beginning of the 2000s.
