Our Porsche 911 Type 993 Carrera Cabriolet was delivered new in Germany in January 1994. She then knew several owners in Italy from 1997 to 2023. It is imported into France for its current owner in early 2023. This copy is in excellent general condition. The Oceanblau shade blends perfectly with a midnight blue leather interior and its blue soft top. The leather seats have a slight natural patina. Our copy has an anti-swirl net and a hood cover.
Our Porsche 993 Carrera Cabriolet is working perfectly. The 3.6L Flat 6 developing 272 horsepower, combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox, offers a sound and sensations that are as amazing as ever. It has received regular maintenance at the Porsche Center and by specialists. The last revision was carried out in April 2023. The tires, the front brakes, the soft top and the car radio are new.

In 1993, when the Porsche 911 Type 964 was only 5 years old, the new generation of the German brand appeared. Presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Porsche 911 Type 993 is very similar to its predecessor, but has a 100% new body and numerous improvements. Its release date and its name are absolutely not linked, simple coincidence of the calendar.
The 993 gets the engine from the 964. The 3.6 L 6 cylinder is here increased to 272 horsepower, combined with a gearbox that gains a 6th report in order to improve top speed and consumption management. This generation is the last to maintain air cooling, abolished in favor of water cooling for the 996 in order to meet pollution standards.
The cabriolet version was presented in 1994 to complete the range. This version was accompanied a few months later by the appearance of the 4-speed Tiptronic S gearbox. Aesthetically, the 993 has more rounded lines, especially in terms of the fenders and bumpers. The headlights are less slanted and better integrated into the body. Visual design breaks are eliminated to obtain a more refined and modern appearance.
The Porsche 911 Type 993 had a complex start. However, in its quality of 911 with an excellent finish and equipped with air cooling, it has grown in popularity over the years and is part of the most popular generation today.
