Our Porsche Boxster Spyder 981 was delivered new in Germany and put into circulation on November 20, 2015. It was imported into France in January 2023 by a professional, then purchased by its current owner.
This example is in excellent general condition, in keeping with its low mileage of 23,000 km. Configured in a Carrara White color combined with gray rims, red brake calipers, a two-tone burgundy red and black alcantara interior and carbon bucket seats, this Porsche Boxster Spyder 981 is free of defects.
Mechanically, this example functions flawlessly. Its 3.8L Flat 6 developing 375 horsepower, combined with the 6-speed manual gearbox, deploys all its power and a superb sound without hindrance. Its maintenance is carried out exclusively in the Porsche Center. Numerous invoices and the stamped maintenance book are available. The last revision was carried out in April 2023. The consumables are in excellent condition.

After good and loyal service for nearly 16 years, the Boxster 986/987 generation gave way in March 2012 to the 981 generation. The aesthetics are completely evolving, with many codes taken from the 918 supercar. The car gains in length, wheelbase and stiffness, while lowering and lightening by more than 30 kilos. The Boxster line is still present but much more elaborate, with a few lines and additional details. The cabin has been significantly improved, both in terms of the materials used and the embedded technology.
At the mechanical level, the changes remain relatively small. The 6-cylinder flat engine is available in 2 engines depending on the model, i.e. 3.4L for 315 hp and 2.7L for 265 hp. A logical reduction in cubic capacity, always in order to comply with CO2 emission standards. The 981 Boxster got off to a pretty good start, with sales doubling compared to the 987. The GTS version appeared in 2014, bringing its share of improvements. The sportier presentation, sharpened running gear and increased power to 330 horsepower, all enhanced by a PDK gearbox to reduce emissions.
The Boxster Spyder introduced in 2015 is the ultimate model of the 981 generation. Its rear boss is reminiscent of the iconic 718 Spyder entered at the 24 Hours of Le Mans from 1957 to 1963. The front of the Boxster Spyder inherits a spoiler that extends over the entire width of the shield to reinforce the aerodynamic downforce of the front axle. There are also the large lateral air intakes as well as a double central exhaust outlet. The chassis is lowered by 20mm, while the brakes from the 911 Carrera and more direct steering are added. A canvas top is chosen, allowing to lower the weight of the car and to offer a more authentic style. For the engine, Porsche offers a 375-horsepower 3.8L 6-cylinder engine, combined with the 6-speed manual gearbox. The ultimate version of the 981 takes up the essence of sportiness.
