In the film by Gérard Oury, Le Corniaud, released in 1965, the 2 CV of poor Antoine Maréchal, played by Bourvil, literally disintegrates when it is hit by the Rolls Silver Cloud of Saroyan, alias De Funès. To obtain this result, limited to a single take, the person in charge of special effects, Pierre Durin, cut the corniaud's 2 CV into 250 pieces reassembled with a kind of electric hook released by remote control at the precise moment of the shock.
