In the early 1970s, producer Robert S. Baker secured an Aston Martin DBS for Roger Moore’s character in the series The Persuaders!. Initially, Aston Martin had promised a DBS V8, but since it wasn’t available at the time, a Bahama Yellow DBS Vantage with a six-cylinder engine was used instead—disguised as a V8 with the correct wheels and front spoiler.
For the show, the car was registered BS1 (Brett Sinclair 1), though in one episode (The Gold Napoleon), the mechanics forgot to swap the plates, revealing its original registration.
