Our Alpine A110 R, first registered on 18 October 2024, currently has 9,950 km on the clock. Originally from France, it has had no change of ownership since leaving the dealership.
This example is presented in an elegant black shade, paired with a black Alcantara interior and carbon wheels. The bodywork is in perfect overall condition, with no damaged carbon elements. The interior is perfectly preserved, in a condition close to new. The dashboard instrumentation functions flawlessly.
Under the bonnet, the 1.8-litre 4-cylinder turbo engine produces 300 hp and is paired with a dual-clutch automatic gearbox. In its R version, the A110 benefits from a design particularly focused on performance and lightness, offering a notably sporty behaviour while retaining the dynamic qualities typical of the A110.

The Alpine A110 R is the most extreme evolution of the modern A110 line. Revealed in 2022 and built at Dieppe, it distils Alpine’s motorsport know‑how into a road‑legal track tool. While the R uses the familiar 1.8‑litre turbo four and rear‑drive aluminium chassis, it sheds weight, slashes drag, and adds real downforce via extensive carbon fibre: bonnet, roof, engine cover, rear wing, diffuser, side sills and even the wheels. Fixed‑back Sabelt Track seats with six‑point harnesses, door pull‑straps and pared‑back trim set the tone inside.
Power holds at 300 PS and 340 Nm, channelled through a rapid seven‑speed dual‑clutch. Thanks to a dip to about 1,082 kg and a more aggressive aero map, the R scorches from 0–100 km/h in 3.9 s and runs on to 285 km/h. Bespoke coilovers (height adjustable, with a lower ride height as standard), stiffer springs and anti‑roll bars, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 semi‑slicks complete a chassis that feels keyed‑in yet still true to the A110’s famed fluidity. Brembo 320 mm discs with enhanced cooling keep repeated hot laps in check.
The R arrived into a fierce arena: Porsche 718 Cayman GT4/GTS 4.0, Lotus Emira and track‑ready specials. Alpine took a different tack—lightness and agility over brute force—and the gamble paid off. Period reviews from Autocar, evo and Top Gear lauded its steering feel, damping and involvement, often calling it the purist’s choice in a sea of power wars. On road the R is wonderfully precise; on circuit it’s a scalpel.
Specials broadened its allure. The Fernando Alonso limited edition (32 units) nodded to Alpine’s F1 star with a distinct setup and livery. The Le Mans edition (100 units) celebrated the 24 Hours with WEC‑inspired details, while the R Turini swapped full carbon wheels for hard‑wearing forged alloys to improve day‑to‑day usability without dulling the edge. As a halo for the A110 family, the R sharpened Alpine’s brand image: a boutique maker that remembers what makes drivers grin.
Fun footnotes? Alpine showcased the R at blue‑riband circuits and used the car heavily in its advertising, underlining the racing link. The modern A110 family also pops up in major racing games, keeping the badge in front of a new generation of enthusiasts. Most telling is the response from dyed‑in‑the‑wool petrolheads: the A110 R proves there’s still magic in light weight, smart aero and exquisite chassis tuning.
