Our Porsche 911 Type 991 GT3 RS, first registered on 6 November 2015, currently has 15,500 km on the clock. Originally from Germany, it is currently registered in France and has had three owners.
This example is presented in an elegant GT Silver colour. The bodywork is in very good overall condition, as is the interior, which has been carefully preserved. The dashboard instrumentation works perfectly.
Under the bonnet, the 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six engine produces 500 hp and is paired with a PDK automatic gearbox. This GT3 RS thus benefits from one of the most radical configurations of the 991 generation, designed to deliver high performance both on the road and on the track.
Maintenance has been carried out within the Porsche network. The vehicle notably comes with its purchase invoice from the Porsche Annecy dealership as well as its latest invoice.
Here are the most recent services performed:
The consumables are in good overall condition. No parts have been modified or replaced on this vehicle. It also benefits from full PPF protection.
No expenses are expected in the short term. However, the front discs and pads will need to be replaced at the next service.
Here are the options this example includes:
This Porsche comes with its certificate of administrative status, CarVertical report, and two keys.
The CarVertical report is available here:
Unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the 991.1-generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS took the already-lauded 991 GT3 recipe and turned every dial clockwise. Porsche Motorsport’s engineers adopted the wider 911 Turbo body, added Turbo-style side intakes to feed the naturally aspirated engine, and grafted on track-derived aero: louvred front arches to relieve wheel-well pressure, a towering fixed rear wing, a deeper front splitter and a flat underbody. Weight fell thanks to a magnesium roof and extensive carbon-fibre panels, while the chassis gained rear-axle steering, dynamic engine mounts and faster, shorter PDK gearing. The result was a 7:20 Nürburgring Nordschleife lap and a road car that felt one warm-up lap away from a Carrera Cup grid.
At its heart sits a 4.0-litre flat-six, good for 500 hp at 8,250 rpm and a heady 8,800 rpm redline. Purists initially lamented the PDK-only decision, yet period road tests from Evo, Autocar and Car and Driver were near-unanimous: the RS’s immediacy, brake feel and front-end bite marked it out as one of the era’s great driver’s cars. Porsche themselves framed the move as pure performance: shorter ratios, faster shifts and a more robust partner for track use. Ironically, the debate it sparked helped pave the way for the manual’s return on the subsequent 991.2 GT3.
Signature colours such as Ultraviolet and Lava Orange became instant poster hues, and the RS’s scalloped front arches turned into a modern 911 design meme. It also introduced 21-inch rear wheels to a road-going 911 for the first time, wearing Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres that gave startling traction and stability under braking. Standard steel brakes were already formidable; Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes remained a coveted option for heavy track users. The optional Clubsport Package—rear cage, six-point harness prep and extinguisher—was a nod to weekend racers, as was the popular 90-litre extended fuel tank.
In period, the GT3 RS squared up to the Ferrari 458 Speciale, McLaren 675LT and Nissan GT-R Nismo. Few could match its day-long track stamina and repeatable lap pace. It has since become a favourite in sim and console titles (Forza, among others), on Chris Harris’ drift-heavy videos and at track days worldwide. Famous owners range from ex-works Porsche racers to high-profile collectors, but its biggest impact was on the brand itself: it reaffirmed Porsche’s mastery of the naturally aspirated, rear-engined sports car while laying groundwork for even wilder successors. Today the 991.1 GT3 RS stands as a sweet spot—raw, mechanical and charismatic—bridging the analogue charisma of the 997 RS and the aero-obsessed monsters that followed.
Owner-favourite upgrades often mirror Porsche’s own Motorsport ethos: alignment and geo tweaks, uprated pads and fluid, Cup 2 R tyres for dedicated track use, quality coil-over kits, and high-flow but track-safe exhausts from specialist suppliers. Done right, they sharpen response without dulling the RS’s innate balance.
