Our Ferrari 348 TS was delivered new in Switzerland and put into circulation in October 1993. She has known 3 owners, including the last, French, since 2016.

This copy is in a very good general condition. In a Rosso Corsa color, combined with gray 5-spoke wheels, a beige leather interior and red carpet, this Ferrari 348 TS is in a superb condition of presentation. The interior is distinguished by a beautiful leather patina. Note that the front blade and the sills are painted, which is specific to TS produced in 1993.

Mechanically, its operation is flawless. Its 3.4L V8 engine developing 300 horsepower, combined with the 5-speed manual gearbox, offers a sublime metallic scream up to 8,000 rpm. This Ferrari 348 TS is maintained by specialists. The distribution and the clutch were changed in 2022 at 100,000 kilometers. The roof and the surroundings of the counters were painted in body color.

In 1989, Ferrari faced a major event. Enzo Ferrari, the famous Commendatore and founder of the brand, suddenly disappears. A speculative hysteria sets in and affects all of the brand's models. Totally upset, the teams are nevertheless working on the next model, the first one that will not benefit from the genius of Enzo Ferrari. In 1990, the brand's management offered the public the replacement for the Ferrari 328, called 348. Signed Pininfarina, the body of the 348 is obviously reminiscent of that of the 328, but also that of the Testarossa thanks to the sidewalls pierced with lateral striations. The taillights are covered by a grill, and are now rectangular, breaking with tradition. Concretely, the 348 incorporates a number of strong elements of the brand's design, as evidenced by the retractable headlights in the F40 or Testarossa style. However, make no mistake, the 348 is a very special model.

Very compact, the 348 is the result of a long work carried out in the wind tunnel, making it possible to obtain a Cx of only 0.32. This compact silhouette implies a certain capacity for contortion to fit into the cabin. Once inside, the 348 still offers more space than its predecessor, including excellent wraparound seats and a height-adjustable steering wheel. High-quality leather and aluminum gearbox grill rub shoulders with a few unwelcome plastics, a discrepancy quickly excused by the soul of this 348, its sublime V8. Tradition obliges, it is its engine that gives its name to the Ferrari model, i.e. 348 for 3.4 L and 8 cylinders. Logically, an increase in cubic capacity compared to its big sister 328 is deduced. The engine, introduced on the Mondial T in Geneva in March 1989, delivers 300 horsepower at 7,200 rpm here. Its flexibility and lyrical flights give an undeniable charm to the 348.

Produced in two versions, the 348 TB (Trasversale Berlinetta) and the 348 TS (Trasversale Spider), a few flaws in the excessively sharp behavior led the Ferrari factory to review its berlinetta. The new models unveiled at the end of 1993 were called the 348 GTB and 348 GTS. Changes are made to the distribution of the masses, the anchor points of the rear triangles and the body's stiffness is improved. This restyling is also an opportunity to offer a more refined finish in the cabin and the presence of power steering. In parallel with these two new models, the 348 TS still built in 1993 benefit directly from some improvements intended for the GTS. They can be recognized in particular by the painted front blade and sills, as well as by the suspensions taken directly from the GTS.
