- 5.0L V8 320 CV engine
- Clear history
- Sunroof
Our Porsche 928 S4, launched in 1991, is equipped with a 5.0L V8 engine developing a whopping 320 hp. It is in good general condition with 170,000 km on the clock. Its black body, which benefited from a veil of paint in the early 2000s, is combined with a leather and black fabric interior. Our Porsche 928 S4 perfectly represents the know-how and the Porsche quality of the 90s.
Owned by its current owner since 2006, it has a complete and clear history with supporting invoices since 2002. Carefully maintained for more than 20 years, several recent expenses have been made on our copy, ensuring perfect functioning from the moment of purchase: 4 new tires, geometry carried out, technical inspection validated, belt changed, belt changed, new battery and recent drain. However, after about thirty years of use, our Porsche 928 has some faults: slightly damaged rims, small chips of gravel on the front bumper and hood, the relaxed dashboard leather, the relaxed dashboard, the missing right rear fender and a slight crackle in the speakers.
Its 320 hp V8 roars as when it left the factory and allows you to experience the superb sensations of this GT from the 90s. It also has a sunroof option and tinted windows.
At the dawn of the 70s, Porsche wanted to get out of its image as a single-model brand. And despite the resounding success of the 911, some managers in Zuffenhausen will try to push the iconic coupe out.
This desire for diversification will result in the development of new bodies and engines giving rise to PMA (front engine Porsches) such as the 944 and 928. The latter embodies Porsche's desire to position a car on the sporty GT 2+2 market. It began its development phase in 1971 and went into production 6 years later in 1977. Equipped with a 4.5-liter V8 placed in the front position, it sports an avant-garde design that is the opposite of that of the 911. And like all LDCs, it was not really unanimous among Porsche owners, considering this new architecture to be sacrilegious.
Surprisingly, the 928 will have a lifespan of 18 years during which several ever more powerful and successful versions will follow one another. In 1986, the Porsche 928 was revised and marketed as an S4 version, an improved version of the S2 version with the 320 hp 5.0 L V8 engine. The front and rear bumpers were redesigned to improve aerodynamics and a rear spoiler appeared in particular to improve downforce at high speed.
