Our Triumph TR6 Pi Overdrive, delivered new in 1969, now shows 71,400 km. Imported to Europe, it has been registered in France for several years and changed owners in 2014.
This example comes in its Royal Blue color (code 56) combined with a black leather interior. The body is in very good condition and the cabin is in good condition for a car of this age. All the instrumentation is working properly.

Produced from 1968 to 1976, the Triumph TR6 is the last representative of the British brand's six-cylinder roadster line. The PI (Petrol Injection) version, reserved for the European market, receives a 2.5-liter inline six-cylinder engine with Lucas mechanical injection, developing 150 horsepower when launched, then slightly less after 1973 to meet anti-pollution standards. Combined with a four-speed manual transmission, it could be completed with an overdrive on the 3rd and 4th gears, offering a smoother ride on long trips.
The chassis uses the separate structure of its predecessors, with independent suspension on all four wheels and disc brakes at the front. The roadster maintains simple proportions, but benefits from a body redesigned by Karmann, recognizable by its square lines and truncated stern.
The cabin combines wooden dashboard, Smiths instrumentation and bucket seats, in an atmosphere faithful to the British standards of the time.
Appreciated for its smooth engine and typical English character, the TR6 Pi Overdrive holds a special place in Triumph's history, marking the end of an era before the arrival of the more modern but less radical models of the late 70s.
