For twenty years, Porsche has been paving the way for its Heritage Design program, a 911 collection that highlights the great years of the brand. The Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition opened the ball with a tribute to the years 1950—60, followed by the Sport Classic and its double boss that revived the spirit of the seventies, then the Classic Club Coupe designed with Porsche USA. Today, the saga continues with the 911 Spirit 70, the third chapter in this story and limited to 1,500 copies. Not a timid evocation, but an assumed reinterpretation of the 70s in a contemporary 911, designed to combine heritage and modernity.

From the very first glance, there is no doubt about his identity. The exclusive Olive Neo shade envelops the body in a deep and original green, enhanced by touches of Bronzite, an elegant golden gray applied to the lower parts. The black satin bands recall the safety markings of the competition Porsches of the time, while at the rear, a Heritage badge, a nod to the 356s that crossed the 100,000 km mark, sits proudly on the engine grill. The gold “Porsche” and “Exclusive Manufaktur” lettering underlines the whole thing with simplicity. Porsche succeeds in a delicate exercise: capturing retro charm without ever falling into pastiche.

The interior extends the experience. Enthusiasts will smile when they discover the return of the graphic and hypnotic Pasha pattern, here available in Black/Olive Neo. It covers Sport Plus seats, storm doors, dashboard, and even floor mats. Combined with basalt Club leather, green stitching and Race-Tex inserts, it creates an atmosphere that is both daring and elegant. And to perfect the scene, when the doors are opened, an “Icons of Cool” light projection lights up the floor. A detail that seems futile, but that summarizes the spirit of this Spirit 70: every gesture counts, each moment becomes a small ceremony.

Under this evocative dress, it's impossible to talk about a simple style exercise. The Spirit 70 is based on the technical basis of the Carrera GTS Cabriolet mild hybrid. Its 3.6-liter twin-turbo flat-six develops 541 hp and 610 Nm thanks to the contribution of an eTurbo and an electric motor integrated into the PDK gearbox. The data sheet speaks for itself: rear-wheel drive, 8-speed PDK gearbox, sports suspension lowered by 10 mm with PASM, Turbo brakes as standard (PCCB optional) and sports exhaust for the sound. The technology is cutting-edge, but the Porsche DNA remains intact: that of a 911 made to drive, feel, and vibrate.

And as always at Porsche, the detail makes the difference. The 20/21 inch wheels inspired by the legendary Fuchs, the titanium exhaust, the darkened Matrix LED headlights, the exclusive taillights or the Porsche Exclusive engraved fuel cap make up a package where nothing is free, everything makes sense. These are the touches that transform a limited edition into a future collector's item.

On the price side, it will cost around €240,000 in Germany (up to €247,200 depending on configurations), with deliveries expected as early as summer 2025. A substantial sum, of course, but the price to pay for exclusivity: only 1,500 copies will be produced, and history has shown that each Heritage Design model quickly became a milestone in the 911 saga.

The 911 Spirit 70 was not created to appeal to nostalgia. It embodies the idea that the spirit of the seventies can be revived today, not as a fixed image, but as a driving experience. A bridge between emotion and innovation, loyalty and audacity. A Porsche to admire... but above all to drive.
